Not Even Dunkin Donuts is Safe!

Wow! It's been a long time! I really want to get better about posting here, so look for more posts in the near future!

So... here we have the packaging for a "Bavarian Donut." Korean doesn't have all the sounds that English does, so some words don't translate exactly right. This case is especially interesting as "Bavarian" Has turned into "Bah-Bah-rian" Which in Korean sounds a lot like "Barbarian."

Jacket full of Angst

I was too shy to ask this guy if I could take a picture of his coat, so Tony did it for me! Afterwards he and the kid he was sitting with were really curious as to why we would be so interested in his coat... I think it pretty much speaks for itself!

Fresh!

Korea has the best notebooks and they're always so cheap! The pictures and words tell a different story here!

Interesting Salon

I know Korea is a bit worried about population decline. People aren't having as many kids as they used to, so relatively few people are going to have to support an older generation... but this salon has taken it too far! It seems to be making kids!!! I'm not sure, but there might be some sort of cloning operation going on here!

Sorry for the delay!

Have a few pictures!

Korea's answer to McDonalds is Lotteria. It's actually quite a lot better than McDonalds... if only they could get the English right! "Injoy!!!"

Or is it "in joy" ? "In joy we eat the delicious European Friko Cheese Burger!"

After eating our burgers, Julie and I stumbled upon this gem. I can't wait to see a middle school student wearing this!

An Oldie but Goodie

One of my very favorite pieces of Konglish that I own! In big letters the mug says "Happy Wildness Men." It really gets right down to the heart of masculinity

Yum!

Perhaps it's just telling it like it is, but I would argue that labeling a food item as "tasteless" is probably not the best advertising strategy!

Princess Disease

The name of this store literally translates into "Princess Disease" which, basically means spoiled brat. Here is a sign explaining everything the store has to offer on the inside. I've always needed a "Jacket & out" as well as "Tee & shirt" !!!

First Entry: Strawberries and the Taliban, makes sense to me!

There are few things Koreans love more than gift bags! Tony and I found an especially good one here! Had the person not been Taliban, they might have only had 1 message interview last night.
